The Edinburgh Trusted Trader Scheme can help you find honest and reliable traders who have been fully vetted by Edinburgh Trading Standards. All scheme members have to follow a strict Code of Practice including the following:

• Adequately train their staff for the work they carry out, and keep appropriate training records. These should be available for Trading Standards Officers to view on request.
• Maintain and publicise any registration which is required by law (e.g. Gas Safe Register).
• Deal with complaints promptly and effectively according to the dispute resolution process.
• Comply with all relevant consumer protection legislation.
